Do you love to travel, but going international is too expensive? Why not try the southern USA? Everywhere you travel there are always things you will love and hate. We always find its best to be prepared for the good and the bad, thus we have made our 5 Loves and Hates video on the Southern United States.

The Things You Will Love About Visiting the South

1. The People: Southern hospitality is amazing. They will be friendly, helpful and help you become part of the community. Really nice people, and thus GREAT SERVICE.

2. Southern Atmosphere: The historic preservation and historic/civic pride that Southerners have in their homes/towns/villages/states.

3. The Food: Listen people love Paula Dean because her food is great. And there is more than just Paula. There is sea food along the coasts, Barbeques throughout the region, always eat at local restaurants never fast food joints.

4. The Weather: The sun and warmth for the 9 non-hot as hades months are great.

5. The Nature: Smokey Mountains, Outer Banks, Marshlands, Islands, Mississippi River Delta, Just stunning nature throughout the South.

The Things You Will Hate about Visiting the South

1. The Restrictive Liquor Laws: Many towns have laws restricting the sale of alcohol on Sundays and holidays, but restaurants are sometimes left out of the law.

2. The Insects: Mosquitos and Palmetto Bugs are quite bad, so have your bug spray and nets. Bring it from home to save some money.

3. Tourists & Snowbirds that pack the South: Tourist prices, bad traffic in high seasons, need to make reseravations.

4. Lack of facilities: Less sidewalks, street cleaning, but people do take care of their historic sites.

5. The Weather: The summer is oppresive, hot and humid. BE CAREFUL WITH THE WEATHER! Especially if you are not used to high heat and humid.
