ADJECTIVES:

Adjectives have to agree with their nouns in gender and number.

DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES: This, that, that over there.

This -Esta/este (close by), essa/esse (that), aquela/aquele (that over there).

ADVERBS:

ARTICLES:

The – O (masculine) o homen – the man, The – A (feminine) a mulher – the woman, The – os (masculine plural) the cachorros – the hot dogs, the – as (feminine), as meninas – the girls.

MUITO: The ever useful word. A lot and very.

when it is “very” it is always muito and never changes, when it is a lot, the ending changes to match the gender and number of the noun it is attached to, e.g. muitas meninas (lots of girls), muitos ossos (lots of bones)
