GERMAN QUESTION WORDS AND HOW TO FORM QUESTIONS

Being able to ask directions, how someone is doing and how much somehting costs are all important on a trip or in speaking a language. These videos hope to help you learn how to form questions in German.

Question Words in German from Quedlinburg

Wie – how, wie geht’s dir? – How are you?

Was – what, Was ist das? – What is that?

Wer – who, Wer war das? – Who was that?

Wo – where, Wo ist deine Schwester? – Where is your sister?

Wieviel – how much, Wieviel kostet das? – How much does that cost?

Warum – why, Warum sind wir hier? – Why are we here?

Please note the way that the question changes the word order in the sentence. The subject now comes after the verb.
