Comparing which city likes beer more, or which town has better bratwurst is a nice topic of conversation in any town. In order to chat along it is important to know how to compare things. This page looks at developing your abibility to compare and contrast things, as well as use the superlative.

The grammar to compare is relatively easy.

adjective + er (ending) + als

Mark ist schoener als Mike. Mark is prettier than Mike.

Superlatives are even easier.

am + adjective + sten (ending)

Jocelyn ist am schoensten. Jocelyn is the prettiest.
